Events
Our unit participates in a variety of reenactment events throughout the year, ranging from public demonstrations to immersive tactical weekends. Each type of event offers a different experience for both reenactors and visitors, and we regularly attend a combination of both — including several events hosted by our own unit.
Public Events are reenactments that are open to spectators. These events typically feature a scripted battle, militaria and food vendors, and reenactor campsites that visitors are welcome to explore. Public events are usually held over a weekend, with Friday reserved for unit arrival and camp setup, and Saturday and Sunday open to the public. Reenactor attendance at these events is usually free.
Tactical Events are private reenactments closed to the public. Often held on privately owned land and hosted by a specific reenacting group, tacticals are immersive, weekend-long experiences centered on a particular battle or campaign of the Second World War. These events emphasize realism, field conditions, and historical scenarios. Registration for tacticals typically ranges from $30–$75, which helps organizers cover costs such as food, firewood, and portable sanitation for participants.
Together, these events allow our unit to both educate the public and pursue highly immersive historical experiences in the field.
